Nominate a Family in Need
Recipients of Christmas in Berthoud gifts are referred by schools, churches, police or fire department, or sometimes by their neighbors. Our goal is to ensure that
everyone in Berthoud has the opportunity to celebrate a joyful holiday season.  Final selections are made by the Christmas in Berthoud team.  Forms are located under the FORMS tab.
 Fire Fighter Safety Program and Calendar 
Our local Fire Fighters are hosting a Safety Education Program for children to raise safety awareness during the holidays.  BellaClaire Studio is creating a Kid Safety and Education Calendar for this event.  To participate, children need to enroll at bellaclairephotography.com/  before 9 AM on the 20th. The event will be held  between 9 and 11 AM on November 20th, 21st. or 25th at the Berthoud Fire House.   Pictures will be taken of the participating children and the Fire Fighters for the calendar.  Funds raised from the calendar will be donated to Christmas in Berthoud.  Space is limited, so sign up early!
 Giving Trees
This is your opportunity to select a family to purchase gifts for Christmas. Trees will be located at The Berthoud Library, Hays Market,  Herbs Medicinals & Grandpa's Café.  This will be available right after Thanksgiving.
 Giving Tables
Hays Market shoppers can donate items at the checkout and 1% of the profit from all donated purchases will go to CIB.
 Food for Fines
Pay off you library fines with food donations throughout the month of December at The Berthoud Library.
 Donate Coats and Food 
We have several collection sites: Main Street Car Care and Quick Lube, The Berthoud Library, L&M Garden Center,
Hays Market, and food only at Grace Place.
 Stocking Stuffer Central
No matter what age you are, stockings at Christmas are fun!  B Town is hanging stockings for you to stuff from November 26th to December 13th.  Bring stocking stuffer items for our teenage recipients to B Town Gear and let's see how many stockings we can fill.  B Town Gear is located at 912 2nd St. 
 Craft Fair
The craft fair will be held at Grace Place, 250 Mountain Avenue on Nov. 30th from 4 PM –9 PM and on Dec. 1st from 9 am – 4 pm.  Bring your children so they can have their pictures take with Santa.  Each Vendor has donated one item and these items will be sold at the Christmas Boutique table.


 Photos with Santa - Hardy Photography

Pictures will be taken November 30th by Hardy Photography in Grace Place upstairs in the preschool department from 5 PM to 9 PM and on and December 1st at the Berthoud Elementary School Make and Take from 10 AM to 2 PM.  Berthoud Elementary @ 560 Bunyan Ave.  The photos will be 5" x 7".  http://www.hardysphoto.com/
Photos with Santa - April's Spring Photography
Photos will be taken at  Grace Place, upstairs in the preschool department on Saturday, December 1st.  from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Photos With Santa - BellaClaire Studio     Hot Cocoa and Treats - Da Bean  
BellaClaire Studio will be offering a free 4”x6” photo from 4 PM to 8 PM on December 1st (except for a short break to enjoy the parade).  Net proceeds from holiday card purchases will be donated to Christmas in Berthoud.  Come to Da Bean for your picture With Santa and treats.  Da Bean is located at 434 Mountain Ave.  Donations for Angelo Dabbiero will also be collected at this time.
 Ladies Christmas Tea
This will be held at Grace Place, 250 Mountain, on December 1st from 10 AM to noon.  The cost is two- fold: A $5.00 entry fee plus a $5.00 gift card to a local store or restaurant.  The card will be donated to a CIB youth.  Tickets are on sale at Grace Place Church.

 Musical:  The Old Russian Shoemaker 
The musical performed by Orphan Promise will be held in the Grace Place Auditorium at 250 Mountain Ave. on November 30th at 6:30 PM.  A second showing will be held at the Berthoud United Methodist Church, located at 820 9th Street on December 2nd at 1:30 PM.  Cost is a love offering which will be given to Christmas in Berthoud.
 Make & Take Kid's Craft Fair 
Children have an exciting opportunity to make Christmas gifts to give to their family.  This will be held at Berthoud Elementary School located at 560 Bunyan Avenue,Dec. 1st from 10 am – 2 pm.  A small charge ranging from 50 cents to $3.00 will apply.



 Various Singing & Dancing Performances 
Drop in at the Grace Place auditorium, 250 Mountain Ave. on December 1st from 1 PM - 4 PM to enjoy our local talent.



 Home Based Expo, Bake Sale and Chili Dinner
On December 1st. from 11 AM to 7 PM enjoy a good meal, bring some goodies home and brose the new ideas for home based businesses at the Community Center located at 248 Welch Ave.  
 Town Parade and Tree Lighting
On December 1st enjoy the festive parade then end the evening with the tree lighting at Fickel Park. The parade will begin at 5 PM and the lighting of the tree will begin directly after the parade.     To participate in the Parade of Lights, fill out the parade form under the Form tab. Participants may begin to line up at 4:45 PM.  Staging begins on 2nd and Mountain (lining up from South to North).  The parade will go west on Mountain Avenue and will turn north on 7th and will ring around Fickel Park.  The Parade of Lights ends in time for the Tree Lighting Ceremony in Fickel Park. Christmas in Berthoud 2012 Entry Form is located under the FORMs tab. The Christmas Parade is sponsored by the Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce.
 Community Mega Meat Fest 
The
B.U.M.'s of Berthoud donated the food and they are hosting the meal at Turner Middle school located at 950 Massachusetts Ave from 6 PM to 8 PM on December 1st.  The meal is $5.00 a plate.  Yummy baked goods will also be sold for a sweet finish to your meal.  The baked goods are being provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints
 Community Bonfire and Activities
There is no better way to end your fun-filled day on December 1st.  than with an old-fashioned bonfire!  Come to  L&M,  located at 735 E. Hwy. 56th and enjoy the bonfire and activities from 8 PM to 10 PM.   

 City Star Brewing Beer
On Saturday, December 1st  City Star Brewing will donate $1 per beer sold between the hours of 2 PM - 9 PM.  Stop in, relax and help Christmas in Berthoud!  This new business is also helping another organization called Reflections of Youth on Dec 4th between 2 PM - 9 PM, again donating $1 per beer.  City Star is located at 321 Mountain Avenue.
 Gingerbread House Holiday Boutique - Brookside Gardens 
Buy a $3 ticket for this event at the Craft Fair and the proceeds will go to CIB. The boutique runs Dec 8 and 9th and features unique holiday gift Items,  gingerbread tasting and strolling models.  Brookside Gardens is located at 619 East State Hwy 56.
