Christmas in Berthoud Mission
Christmas in Berthoud is a community-wide effort to bring holiday joy to those in need in our community by donating our time, talents and financial resources. The goal this year is to raise $15,000 in which 100% of the funds will be distributed to families in our area. We collect donations and organize fundraisers so that we can purchase toys, gift cards, grocery cards and more for those people who need them the most in Berthoud. Our fundraising activities start the first weekend in December.
This year, the need is greater than ever before due to the recent economic crisis in our country. Many people in our town struggle with joblessness or a reduced income. Many are on the verge of losing their homes, businesses, or even the hope to face another day. Please join hands with us this Christmas season!

Christmas in Berthoud soon will be…
CIB is becoming a non-profit. No wait! It just
happened!!! Kim Land, has taken the position of President of the Board
and we have just received our approval for a 501c3 tax status through the IRS. Your donations are now tax-deductible.
History beginning in 2004…..
In 2004 Festival of Trees was begun by Grace Place Church in Berthoud and the event has evolved into Christmas in Berthoud to specifically help families in need. CIB has grown into a community-wide annual effort and has helped hundreds of Berthoud families in need during the holidays. Many thanks to the Chamber of Commerence, Berthoud United Methodist Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, Boy and girl Scout troops, Berthoud Schools, Hays Market and various businesses, The Berthoud Surveyor and the Berthoud Public Library. If I missed your group contact me and I will make the correction. LuAnn luhoxeng@yahoo.com.
Over the years Christmas in Berthoud has been able to fulfill its purpose of showing hope and love to many local families during the holiday season. We wish to offer a hearty thank you for your generous donations of time and talent!
In 2011 we assisted
Christmas in Berthoud assisted thirty-two Berthoud families, nineteen Berthoud military families and one Children’s Home in Berthoud - a total of fifty-two families in 2011. All the families were blessed with coats, food, toys, money and gift cards. On top of that, the House of Neighborly Services received 1545 pounds of food! And finally, our homeless were given the extra coats that were left.
